The story of silk runs through three generations of women in my family. Regarded as the origin of the finest silk, Brazil has counted Hermes among the clientele of my nippo-brazilian family’s silk factory. Today, I am using these exclusive leftovers as well as antique kimono silk to create these unique pieces.
These limited and precious bolts of silk encourage a slower, more thoughtful process of creation. Inherently inspired by kimono construction, each cut is deliberate, each seam considered.
The pieces are available on Preclothedarchives.com
